Thelma M. McClintick, 96, of Walnut passed away Sept. 3, 2024, at the Prairie Mission Retirement Village in St. Paul, Kansas.

Thelma was born June 3, 1928, in Walnut, Kansas, a daughter of Milton and Margaret (Stephans) Mcclintick.

She attended school in Walnut, graduating from Walnut High school.

Thelma was employed at the Sunflower Ammunition Plant of Parsons. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sharing her produce, and coon hunting with her father. She was an avid seamstress, making beautiful quilts for family as well as dolls with hand painted faces for her nieces. In her youth she created dresses for her sisters, and a formal for a special occasion.

Thelma is survived by two sisters: Pauline Bloomcamp of Pittsburg, Marylin Miller of Shawnee, Kansas, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Donald McClintick, Patrick Joseph McClintick two sisters: Mary Patricia “Pat” Larson, and Mildred McClintick.

Service will be at a later date.
