On July 3, 2024, Ju-Jung Lu Chen, age 78, passed away at Ascension Via Christi Village.
Ju-Jung was preceded in death by her husband Dr. John Chen, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cheng Lu and a brother, Fong Nan Lu. She is survived by her step-son, James (Karen) Chen; step-daughter, Susan Chen; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was born on January 30, 1946, in Taichung, Taiwan, and was a longtime resident of Pittsburg, where she lived for over 30 years. As a college instructor at PSU, she taught Chinese and truly cared for all students. Known for her caring nature, she always extended a helping hand, whether it was offering rides to the airport or assistance with rent for new incoming students. Ju-Jung and her husband were proud supporters of Pittsburg State University.
Ju-Jung enjoyed bowling and traveling.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg and a private memorial service is being planned at a later date.
